What I collect, why, who touches it, and how to get out.
This page is short on purpose. If it were longer, you would stop reading.

What I collect
Your email address, when you sign up. That is the whole list. No name field, no phone, no address.
One more thing, and it is small: a tag that says which page sent you. It comes from a link (a ?ref= value) or from the page where you signed up. Something like reddit-favorite-pellet-smoker.
Why I collect it
The address sends you the checklist and the emails you asked for. Nothing else.
The tag tells me which pages bring readers. If a post brings nobody, I stop writing that kind of post. It is the only measurement I have, and it is about the pages, not about you.
Who else touches it
- Kit (formerly ConvertKit) runs the list: it stores the address, sends the emails, and handles unsubscribes.
- Cloudflare serves the site and logs the requests. That is where the traffic numbers I look at come from: requests per page, referrer, country. Measurement of pages, not of people, and it is how I know whether a post gets read.
- Nobody else. I do not sell your email, rent it, or hand it to a partner.
Links that earn money
Some links on this site earn a commission if you buy through them. It costs you nothing extra and it does not change what I write. No brand has sent me free gear, and none has paid for a review. If that ever changes, this page changes first.
In your browser
The site loads no advertising scripts, and it sets no cookies of its own.
What runs is the hosting. Cloudflare serves the pages, counts the requests, and adds a small measurement script of its own that counts page views without cookies. That is how I know which posts get read.
The one thing stored in your browser is that tag, so a signup days after you clicked a link still knows where you came from. It sits in your browser's local storage, not in a cookie, and it does not follow you to other sites.
If I ever add Google Analytics or anything similar, it is named on this page before it goes live.
Leaving
Every email carries an unsubscribe link. One click and you are out.
If you want the record deleted rather than unsubscribed, reply to any email or write to contact@dreamergrill.blog and I remove it.
Changes
If any of this stops being true, the date below changes with it.
